HEY welcome back to an new term. we planted so stuff last term and they have grow a lot over the holidays. welcome back to the old Eco leader JUDITH!!!!   YAY we are all happy to have her back and hope you guys look after you and the plants    

hey this week we've weeded ALL the gardens an planted some peas and tomatoes. please guys try not to step on the plants, we all ready have found a dead one.

we have made a Harlem shake and made it into an Eco shake to promote waste free lunches we shared it in assembly

we have recently planted daffodils and they are growing FAST so keep an eye out over the next weeks

we no longer take yogurt pots but we will be taking them in term 4 our daffodils are sprouting

OMG rollypolly carrots yum they are all done

hey guys does anyone have any seeds as we have planted them all some fully grown plants would also be good

unfortunately our passion fruits where taken or killed so no more passion fruits keep updated for more news

we have a working bee this Sunday, yay , who will be their we will. Please welcome Sam preval (yr 6) to the eco team,

hi guys sorry  for not updating for awhile and we are the new leaders Zach and Tessa .we have been  working hard and we are going to have are FIRST working bee for the year YAY. we have been planting some veg's in are garden and some flowers. we have also found some passion fruit and they have grow really well should been grow fully soon.

Papatuanuku Plant their vegetables!

Papatuanuku were out with Sarah getting their hands dirty! 

They planted an array of Pak Choi, beans, Marigolds, carrots and zucchini to name a few!

Clearing the veggie garden!

Thanks to Tonia who came in to clear the veggie beds ready for winter planting. Some Emerald Army members went out to help. We pulled out weeds, old veggies that had gone to seed and relegated them to the compost bin. 

Butterfly garden

Our butterfly garden is full of swan plants, which means it's full of monarch butterfly caterpillars! Monarch butterfly's have been spotted in NZ for over 100 years! They are being tracked during winter to see where they go. They swarm to Mexico and gather there for many months, sometimes covering whole trees and branches! 

2014 The Emerald Army is reforming!

The Emerald Army are rallying support today to find our Green reps! Each class will choose a rep to form a working group in each class. We want to start planning, weeding, planting, tidying, saving the giraffes.........
